I frequently using sterling silver together with 14 kt gold, but usually using one of the metals as design elements on the other. These two designs use a technique called married metal, in which the sterling silver and karat gold flow into each other. This first design is a Vesica Pisces, a female symbol tat the customer sent to me. It is part sterling silver, part 14 kt gold and set with a black Akoya pearl. Quite stunning, really. This design cost $350. The size was 35 mm in diameter. |

You'll also find married metal technique used in the silver and gold Auryn in the Symbol section of this site. Cool technique, eh? |
